Twilonger de Tezza @ poptrashmoviee. (le 26 août 2013)
Here's a little memory jogger for the Robjectifiers,Krisbians,Nonberts, and whatever upside down, twisted as fuck faction you belong to. When the novel "Twilight" was optioned to become a film in late 2004,the casting process began. In October of 2007,Catherine Hardwicke, the director went to Pennsylvania to meet with Kristen Stewart on the set of a film called "Adventureland". Another unknown actor,Jackson Rathbone, who was known for being a musician, and Disney FM personality, was in the running to be the character "Edward Cullen".Catherine Hardwicke,on recommendation from "Into The Wild" star Emile Hirsch, went to the Adventureland set to meet with Hirsch's co-star in "Into The Wild" Stewart,as he spoke extremely highly of this young actor, who only appeared in the film for two very short, but very powerful scenes. Hardwicke tested Stewart and Rathbone for the characters "Edward Cullen and Bella Swan",and knew that Stewart was perfect casting, while keeping Rathbone in mind not for Edward, but for another character Jasper Whitlock" Another relatively unknown actor by the name of Shiloh Fernandez secured the role of "Edward Cullen",and had a contract signed to portray this character. In November of that same year, actor Robert Pattinson, another unknown actor who was only known for his portrayal of the character "Cedric Diggory" in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire",and in a flashback sequence in the film "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix",was cast as "Edward Cullen",replacing the already signed Fernandez, the reason being Kristen Stewart, who was signed to play "Bella Swan" said she would walk if Pattinson wasn't signed to play "Edward Cullen",her belief in this young, relatively unknown actor that strong. When the announcement came that he was cast as "Edward Cullen",the book's faithful readers decimated him. They did not want Pattinson to be cast, calling him "ugly",and "OMG! Why did they cast him?" Remember those days??? Hmmm. Now,you cannot build enough altars to him. You decimate, ridicule, and insult the woman who, from day one,and to this day,has immeasurable belief in him. Today he is Cronenberg's newest muse, the face of Dior, working with directors of renown like Herzog, and Michod. He went to Cannes last year not as a spectator,or eye candy, but as an actor in a nominated film. That film is "Cosmopolis". In the audience the night of the premiere,a young woman in a red dress was overcome by emotion, love, and pride for the man whom she fought for to get the role of "Edward Cullen". She was the one who told him to take the role of "Eric Packer" in that film, when he felt he was unworthy. Her words" You have to take this,it's Cronenberg" And he did,and delivered a powerful performance.Pattinson went directly to Stewart, the young woman in the red dress, and they embraced. The powerful, deeply emotional moment caught on camera, and put on every outlet for the world to see. Pattinson stood in the exact same place two nights before, applauding loudly, and on his feet for Stewart, whose film "On The Road" premiered in the exact same theater. So,keep this in mind as you build your altars. Pattinson and Stewart champion, fight for, love and support each other. There is no PR,there is no farce. What they have is a genuine relationship,a strong relationship. If Stewart did not choose Pattinson, and worked instead with the first choice Fernandez,Sam Bradley,Bobbby Long,Marcus Foster,Tom Sturridge,Jack Standen,Sienna Miller,Suzie Riemer,Jamie Strachan,Scout Compton would all be continuing to eek out a day to day existence of playing their music in bars, bumming around, and getting a play or small indie film or two, waitressing, and busting their asses to make ends meet. Pattinson is forever, and I mean forever grateful for Kristen,as she is forever grateful for him. This is not a fan preaching, although I am so proud to call myself one,as they truly are dynamic, this is a person speaking the unvarnished, and straight up truth.Digest it,learn it,and remember it the next time you want to cause havoc.
