I'm going to talk about two things that are always an issue in this fandom today. Paparazzi and sightings.

Some of the things I'm going to say are probably going to piss a lot of people off. But just because you don't like it, or you don't want to hear it, doesn't make it any less true.

These two topics are always a bone for contention in this fandom. More often than not they're the catalyst for drama filled timelines and DMs. But whether we like it or not, for the moment at least, they are a fact of life and they're not going anywhere.

So let's talk about it. Let's discuss it. And let's start with the paparazzi. They're cheeky, skeevy little rodents who constantly lie, manipulate and break the law to get their pay day. And yet people continue to take their word as gospel. Seems these days the paps are taking on the role of tabloid too. They don't just take pictures and sell them anymore. No. No. They take pictures and then make up their own little narrative to go along with them. They even hold on to pictures to make them fit the tale they're telling. And yet I still see twitter explode with drama as person, after person, believed the lies the paps are selling you.

Not too long ago a set of pictures came out showing Kristen driving in her familiar old blue truck, being tailed by Rob in a white jeep. The 'first' pictures of the two together we've had since April. But wait, they're not the first are they?
These pictures caused a riot in our fandom, for two different reasons. And although I think we're all against the paparazzi and their disgusting behaviour, we were all happy to see our favourite people in the same frame again after so long. To those who stayed strong it felt like vindication. The fandom was happy once again and for a very brief moment we were able to fangirl once again.

But fast forward a few weeks and our favourite couple have once again gone into hiding. Something they have every right to do. The Dallas Chanel event happens and we see a beautiful, glowing Kristen looking to most to be carrying a little something extra. A little bun perhaps. More drama. At the end of the day, children are always, always a blessing. If there is a child on the way for Rob and Kristen, we should all be rejoicing in this gift they are to receive. There should be no drama, no vitriol here. Life should always be celebrated. We lost one of our own this year. Kim. A beautiful, sweet woman. Her passing, if nothing else, should teach us all that life is too short to entertain hate, and that life itself is a gift to be celebrated.

So here we are, about to head into 2014 and what do we have? We have paparazzi posting altered images from unknown dates. Why? Ask yourselves this very important question. Why? Could it be that they're struggling to keep their little story going? Could it be that Rob and Kristen do not want us or anyone to know where they are? Could it simply be another case of the paps lying? After all, paps live to lie. It's they're job and the only thing you can trust with them is that they will lie.

We can't talk about pap pics without talking about tabloids. They go hand in hand. I think we all need to be reminded of the golden rule. Tabloids lie! That's it. It's that simple. They lie. I don't think anything else needs to be said about them. They lie.

Now, for the second topic of this long winded diatribe. Sightings. I've spoken about it before. We have all become so gun shy, so cynical, when it comes to sightings. We all scream "pics or it didn't happen" whenever someone claims to have seen our golden couple anywhere in the world. However there is something quite vile I have noticed. There are many in this fandom who will believe a sighting, no matter how dubious, as long as it's a solo sighting. As soon as the second half of the couple known as Robsten is mentioned the sighting is immediately declared a troll and the person who spotted them is ridiculed and even attacked. I really don't understand this behaviour. Why is it more believable that Rob or Kristen were seen somewhere when they're alone, over when they're together? Is it because you don't want them to be seen together? Do you not want them to be together?

Most recently we had sightings of the duo on the Isle of Wight. Numerous sightings. At least 8 actually. But so many shot them all down. Declared them trolls. Yet one person says they saw Rob or Kristen in a very innocuous location and it must be true. If someone can explain this to me, then please please dm me and explain it. Because all I see is a bunch of naysayers wanting to cause drama and stomp on any hint of good news this fandom receives.

Funnily enough it's the same people who attack fans who believe Kristen to be pregnant. Who state whole heartedly that it could not be true, that it is not true. It seems we have a pattern. Which leads me to one other point I want to make. If you have a problem with someone, with the things they say or believe, talk to them. Send them a dm or an email and have a chat. Talk it out, figure out your differences. And if that's not possible, unfollow. I really can't stand seeing these tweets calling this person a liar, and that person a troll. I don't like seeing people tweet that anyone who believes or follows them to be stupid, mislead and a number of other insults. This is not the fandom I joined, this is not the fandom I want to be a part of. Is this really what we have become? I really hope not.

It's nearly 2014, can we please make a resolution and stick to it? Can we please vow to be less demanding, less abusive toward each other? Can we vow to be less dramatic? To not jump to conclusions? Can we vow to take a moment to really look, to investigate, and read through everything carefully before stating something as fact? We create a lot of the tabloid stories by simply jumping to conclusions and posting those conclusions as fact on the timeline. We are our own worst enemy and we need to stop.

Since it's tradition in many parts of the world to make predictions for the new year, I am going to make mine. 2014 is going to be a wonderful year for Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, both professionally and personally. With so many projects due for release, it will be a successful year professionally. And as for personally, Rob and Kristen have always chosen each other when the world has fought tooth and nail to tear them apart, and in 2014 they will continue to choose each other. They will love, they will procreate and they will do so without the need or the desire for the approval or permission of the fandom, the media, the paparazzi or the world. Love always wins. It conquers over hate. Every damn time.

So as I end my final post for 2013, I want to wish you all a safe, happy and healthy 2014. I want to remind you, in honour of Kim, to hold close those you love and never forget to tell them just how much you love and care for them. I hope you remember what matters in life. I hope you are blessed with friendship and love. I hope you never feel alone or hopeless. I hope you never know the pain of losing the one you love most. And for Rob and Kristen, wherever they are and I do believe they are together, I hope all of those things and that they finally find some peace from those who seek to exploit or harm them.
